This is a room inside the wall that surrounds the Old Town portion of Tallinn, Estonia. As you can see, this room is in remarkably pristine condition, despite being older than god. Sorry that the pic is so bad, but the ambient lighting was impossible to deal with.

Here's another look at that room inside the wall surrounding Tallinn, Estonia. Actually, this is one of the towers where soldiers made the boiling oil and such that they dropped on evil invaders in the wondrous days of yore. (Of course I am imagining this, I don't know it for sure! Yes, I am aware that at least some of the wood has been replaced.)

Here is where those soldiers made boiling oil and other hot things to dump on intruders. I assume they also thawed out their frozen fingers and toes at these fireplaces during the incredibly cold Estonian winters.

Okay, I know this is not a great picture, but I love it. Again, it's the contrasting colors, lighting, shapes and textures that are so appealing to me. What do you think?

Next, I will show you photographs taken from the top of the walls, where the contrast between the old and the new portions of Tallinn are very dramatic.

You really take the best pictures. I am envious.

i had good material to work with, in this situation. i don;t think it is possible to get a bad photograph of tallinn, unless a tourist or a truck parks in the middle of your picture and won't move.
