I know this picture is blurry, but hey, I was running after these guys when I snapped it!
What was that .. thing .. that I was running after, trying to photograph? Here’s a closer look;

As you can see, this was a bicycle with a number of bar stools attached, along with a table in the middle, beers and munchies and drunken patrons (who were pedaling) as well. The beertender (the guy with the bare ass — no not really, it was a fake bare ass that he was wearing over his real ass, although I don’t know why) was pedaling and steering all his drunken pals through the streets of Old Town as I was leaving to catch the Tallink superferry back to Helsinki, Finland.
How did the customers get on and off their bar stools? I never saw, but I will guess that they caught their bar stools after running at them, and probably dismounted in the usual way; by falling off. It also seems to be an excellent way to burn off the fat provided by consuming beer, since all the passengers pedal that contraption (or they try to, although at least one of those guys just sat there like a blob while the others groaned loudly while pedaling).
It’s peculiar events like this that make you temporarily forget you have a camera, and then happy to remember that you have a camera in your hands!
Now why don’t they do things like this in NYC?
