   Yep, that’s the color coding used in telephone cables btw.

   Resistor codes are just a teensy bit different,

   Black, Brown, Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Violet, Grey, White, Gold and Silver.

   One if it’s many mnemonics:

   Bad boys rape our young girls but Violet gives willingly.
