I love futbol, but OMG, these boyz are such crybabies and drama queens! These soccer/futbol players demonstrate the reasons why I think they all are in desperate need of acting lessons: their ridiculous overblown theatrics.

I don't know the first thing about soccer, but from looking at that clip, it seems to be a make-believe-'sport' in the same vein as professional wrestling, right?

i agree with @simong -- real men play rugby OR australian rules football. if there isn't at least one death per game, it wasn't played right...

Just search google pictures for "Ewald Lienen", "Christoph Preuß", "Eduardo leg", "Rooney foot", "Petr Cech Hunt". In addition please have a look at youtube for "worst fouls", "Schumacher and Batiston" etc.

BTW, the fine word "football" should remain reserved for the authetic game first codified in the "Laws of the Game". It must definitely not be used for a game mostly played by hand with an egg-shaped something that surely doesn't deserve the honour of being termed "ball".

Grrl: The word is "Football", sometimes adorned with "Association" to distinguish itself from the pussy game of "American Rules Rugby Football".

Phillip: You're seeing the histrionics used to get the ref to call a foul against the opposing side. As the officials have got better spotting false claims, the acting has become, let us say, more emotional. Football is a marvelous game packed with 90 minutes of exciting action and no damn cheer leaders.

Rugby (or, more properly, "Rugby Football") is a damn fine game...but doesn't have the continuous to-and-fro flow of a football match. Australian Rules Rugby Football is another fine game but doesn't get out of Australia.
