0.12% is the number of sunday talk show questions posed to presidential candidates about global warming.

(via DemocracyNow)

A new study by the League of Conservation Voters found that the five major Sunday morning political shows asked the presidential candidates well over 2,000 two thousand seventy questions in 2007. Just three of the questions mentioned global warming. Another 22 questions were related to global warming.

The League of Conservation Voters has launched a website around this. You can read/listen/watch the Democracy Now story here.

Sad to say, I don't think we are going to be able to get that number up much. People are more concerned about the economy, their jobs, mortgages etc.

While I agree that that number will be hard to move, I think it really reflects the priorities of the insider press and not the general public. There are numerous polls that show the public's concern for this issue is very high, even next to jobs etc.
