Respectful Insolence

"A statement of fact cannot be insolent." The miscellaneous ramblings of a surgeon/scientist on medicine, quackery, science, pseudoscience, history, and pseudohistory (and anything else that interests him)

Who (or what) is Orac?

orac.jpg Orac is the nom de blog of a (not so) humble pseudonymous surgeon/scientist with an ego just big enough to delude himself that someone, somewhere might actually give a rodent's posterior about his miscellaneous verbal meanderings, but just barely small enough to admit to himself that few will. (Continued here, along with a DISCLAIMER that you should read before reading any medical discussions here.)

Orac's old Blog is archived at Archived Insolence.

What would happen if Microsoft redesigned the iPod box?

Category: Humor

Although the images used are a bit out of date (for one thing, that looks like a first generation iPod on the box), this video is spot on hilarious.

Pray this never happens...

Oh yeah. I worked for a short stint at Microsoft Studios, their in-house video production facility, and I had to do some of those very type of graphics for a promo video. You have no idea how right you are when you say, "spot on."

Indeed, let's hope this never, ever happens.

thanks for the smile.
offtopic:

That is the second time (in relatively short time ) that the RSS feed of your journal produces illegal html in livejournal - first time it merely produced an ugly " incorrigible HTML erro here is the raw feed " error - which is ugly but readable if one can read HTML this time however - this little posts feeed messed up my page layout to the point where posts just before yours became illegible. That is obviously calling for a remedy. Currently I took you of from my subscription list ( what LJ mistakenly call 'friendslist' ) and just hope I will remember to look up your page occasionally - however there is the hope tht this is an after effect of the recent problems and can be rectified on your end.
Thanks.

Tis funny because its true. Worked at companies fulltime as well as freelance as an artist and dtp grunt. Man, nobody in marketing ever listens to good advice.

You think office dorks in America are annoying? Try Malaysia, watch how they get all huffy when I tell 'em the design stinks.
