    Sometime tonight, your local PBS station will air a program Called The New Medicine documenting “integrative medicine” as it is being practiced in US academic medical centers. Apparently, the late Dana Reeve was taped as the host three months before her death from lung cancer.

    After you recover from the incredible high of the FT coverage (very hearty congratulations on well-deserved recognition!), I wonder if you’d care to comment on the virtues and risks of CAM practices being offered in academic medical centers and NCI comprehensive cancer centers. I can argue both sides, but it seems that a lot of centers are getting into it simply to boost revenues since CAM services are paid primarily out-of-pocket and these patients are represented by a well-heeled demographic.
