Respectful Insolence

"A statement of fact cannot be insolent." The miscellaneous ramblings of a surgeon/scientist on medicine, quackery, science, pseudoscience, history, and pseudohistory (and anything else that interests him)

Who (or what) is Orac?

orac.jpg Orac is the nom de blog of a (not so) humble pseudonymous surgeon/scientist with an ego just big enough to delude himself that someone, somewhere might actually give a rodent's posterior about his miscellaneous verbal meanderings, but just barely small enough to admit to himself that few will. (Continued here, along with a DISCLAIMER that you should read before reading any medical discussions here.)

Orac's old Blog is archived at Archived Insolence.

What you find on YouTube these days: Central venous catheter placement

Category: MedicineSurgery
Posted on: February 11, 2007 12:01 PM, by Orac

A couple of weeks ago, I posted about a bizarre complication of a central venous catheter placement. Now, on YouTube, I find a primer on how to place central venous catheters.

The remaining parts can be found here.

Hey DOC....Cordis is a BRAND not a type of catheter....Cordis is a division of J&J and the catheter is called a SHEATH Introducer.....large bore if you will. Thanks for saying Cordis so much especially while showing the competitor product from Arrow.
Amazing what you can find on the internet these days.....
