I’ve just found what has to be literally the coolest weblog ever.
Its whole raison d’être is a pet peeve of mine, too, but I literally never thought of starting a blog about it.
Literally, ROFL! hehehe!
The video at that site was really funny.
You know, because the name of the blog is “Literally”, if you added some well-placed commas to your post, it would un-do your horrible (and ironic) misuse of the word, “Literally”.
Private Eye has been running these in their “Colemanballs” section for years. So you have Ian “Sperm of the Devil” Hislop on your side too.
I didn’t even know weblogs had temperatures.
Is there also a blog basically dedicated to basically?
Or a blog dedicated to my personal pet peeve: using the word “utilize” when “use” is actually what is meant.
How do you know it wasn’t intentional?
I quite literally almost wet myself, while utilizing my computer to check out that site. . .
How about: “You know, I quite literally almost wet myself, basically while utilizing my computer to check out that site, you know, eh?”
That was basically what I was thinking, after I literally posted my comment, utilizing my computer to, like, do so, don’tcha know, eh. . .Sorry, it’s been a long day.
Orac: That’s why I said it was ironic. 🙂
Thou shalt not mock “, eh?”! Canada’s gone 275 years without invading a country for some ridiculous offense; we’re due.
Guilty as charged. It is only done with all due respect and love for my favorite in-laws… including a hubby’s grandmother who used to even write it in her letters.
My last landlord/employer, in Michigan was a born and bred Yooper/pseudo-Canadian. While the Yoopers never invaded anyone, per say, I think they often considered it. Or at least considered a rebellion against the tyranny of the lower peninsula of MI, eh?
