First off, congratulations, this certainly reflects your accomplishment and stature in the realm of science and politics. Second off, though, I'm a bit confused about the event "representing both the left and the right." On a topic such as this, I'm not sure how those conventional political descriptors apply, but I did note one, and possibly three, individuals that I might consider less as serious academic/scholastic contributors and more as advocacy/preset agenda/public-relations-via-think-tank types. I could be oversensitized, but this, to me, detracts from the purpose of the event, in other words, I'm concerned that there's some kowtowing in order to achieve that notorious "balance."
