The Rest Is Still Unwritten

We spent the past couple days together in our nation’s capitol with lots to discuss including some exciting news you’ll find out Thursday followed by our upcoming BIG announcement…

Let’s just say over the past year, we’ve noticed we not only work well together, but also have a habit of coming up with interesting ideas collaboratively. And of course the best part is we have a lot of fun in the process.

So stay tuned, keep an eye to the blog, and very soon we’ll be able to share our plans with readers!

Sheril, I notice that I cannot see your hands in this photograph. Are you hiding your ring finger??????

Yes, that was the Dubliner, unless I was really, really…um…unprohibited.

And while I do like Sheril and all, DrugMonkey’s and Greg’s guess is definitely not what we’re hinting at.

    1) It was the Dubliner, though I have it on good authority the party didn’t end there.

    2) Yeah, about that ring idea – Chris would likely be somewhere in the middle of a LONG line for Sheril if that were actually in the offing.

    3) Of more interest was the wedding party from the hotel next door – who I’m told provided much ammusing visual entertainment – having come to the Dubliner NOT in need of its services.

    B2Hot4Me (rap)
    Nah-Uh, NOT
    Working In The Cold Mine
    Like A Hurricane
    I’ll Never Frame Again
    The Frame Game

Okay, whatever it is, good luck.

    …publishing a paper together

Nah. No big deal. Maybe a book contract from a major publisher?

Sheril, I was hoping you could comment on some thoughts I had a few weeks ago.
I read a paper that mentioned chemical extracts from sea cucumbers (related to searching for new drugs). I was wondering if these chemical extracts are repeatable within a species, or if these are randomly generated chemicals. This lead me to wonder what these sea cucumbers are doing creating these chemicals. This further lead me to wonder if this may be somewhat analogous to human immune systems where we generate an enormous amount of random antibodies to be able to protect us from previously unknown attackers… are these sea cucumbers generating random chemicals as a generalist defense mechanism?

I know, I know….you and Sheril are giving up the science and science-writing gigs to become J. Crew models! That’s it, isn’t it?

Or you are going to both pose for the inaugural “Framing Science” calendar, featuring young attractive scientists in sexy poses alongside framed abstracts of papers on the dangers of global warming, sea-level rise, etc., right?

OK, seriously folks….I’m guessing it’s a book in the works. Or a book deal. Or both.

Then you must be writing a book together.

Interesting suggestions so far… I especially enjoyed reading Adrienne’s creative climate change calender idea and J-Dog’s record contract conjecture. Maybe one day ;)

In the mean time, we really can’t wait until we’re able to share our news with everyone!
