Blogging Round The Sun

Buongiorno readers! One revolution ago, I began a journey I certainly didn't anticipate... For a week I was to 'guest host' this Scienceblog called 'The Intersection' while Chris was away in Italy. And so began my first post:

And then something unexpected happened--I never left. And nothing's been the same ever since!

So on this day in May, I'd like to thank readers for contributing to the ongoing discussion, providing thoughtful perspective, and keeping me on my toes as I've wandered down the rabbit hole into cyberland.

Most of all of course, thank you Chris for bringing me here, inspiring new ideas, and keeping this gig fun! As well as a colleague, you've become a trusted friend and there's no one I'd rather be writing alongside everyday. All I can say is...

And readers, we've got more exciting plans to share over the coming months so keep an eye to the blog!

Congratulations, neighbor! Hope the next year is equally exciting and productive - well, maybe not so much of the undesirable excitement.

Sheril,
It has been a great year. Bringing you on board is the smartest thing I ever did.

Posted by: Chris C. Mooney | May 19, 2008 10:10 AM

I came on board as a reader and sometimes commenter about a year ago too. I enjoy The Intersection, with the varied pieces on climate, media, the political scene, culture, and occasional controversy explosion.
I intend to keep on reading...

Miss Sheril,
Thank you for being such a voice of reason; for encouraging fledgling bloggers, and for making sense. Yes, the year went by fast, but wait until you have your 4th or 5th book out - then time will really have flown.

Red and I couldn't be happier or Prouder. You go Roomie!

Sheril - I've been a fan of The Intersection since forever. But a superfan for a year. Thanks for all that you give me to think about and pass on.

As usual I agree with Mr. Mooney. Smartest thing he's ever done ;->
