I'm pleased to make my first cameo appearance in the Scientiae Carnival, the 'best blogging on women in science, technology, engineering and mathematics!'

Sheril,
Go for it. Women need to be encouraged to participate in science. I wish that it would mature to the point of being gender neutral. Just think though how women were not even allowed to vote for most of the history of this country. Is it any wonder that women face bias in many fields? It needs to end.

Thanks Cal. I couldn't agree more and expect as a society, we're moving in the right direction.
