Welcome To Existence

Dear Rose,

Rose%20Day%202.pngWelcome to the planet! Just about a year ago, I married your parents, who happen to be two of my very favorite people. I've never been an aunt before, but then, you've never been a niece before, so it will be fun learning the ropes together.

When you're a bit older, I'll take you out to wander the tide pools on California's lost coast and teach you about music and books and dinosaurs and space and all the most important stuff. In the mean time, you keep growing and exploring the world, and I'll do my best to make sure the large fish, big cats, and great migrations are still around when you're ready to find them.

This planet is a wonderful place and you have so much to look forward to...

Love,
Aunt Sheril

ps - Hope you like that birthday present I sent.

Rose,
Miss Sheril will make an awesome aunt! She's the one who will play in puddles with you, and take you home to mom covered in kelp. She'll also corrupt you into think sea cucumbers rule the world, but your distant cousin Philip wants you to know it's ok to love nudibranchs too. I know your Aunt Sheril is really looking forward to watching you grow up - and I'm looking forward to reading her stories.

Sheril, Seth, & Jen,
You light up our world with a special joy and happiness that began even before you were born. To watch you grow into such giving, nurturing, and caring people is truly a blessing for a parent.

Beautiful little Rose Ami,
We love you so much. Your world will be surrounded and cushioned by this love with all of your family right there with you along the way. You have the best parents to help guide you, a super Aunt Sheril to love you and to help you explore the world, and some grandparents to 'spoil' you some. We are so proud and we love all of you,
Grandma and Grandpa

And don't forget to teach Rose about evolution! Congratulations.

So sweet. Lovely to know I have such excellent relatives, including the latest, Rose.

Dear Rose,

You couldn't be luckier. You have inherited a great set of parents, grandparents, and one swinging aunt. May your life be blessed from here on in.

Dear Seth and Jen,

You did good! She is a very pretty little girl and I hope the boys' attraction to her doesn't give you too much of a problem later. If you need advice, just ask Sheril. She knows how to handle those pestering males and she will teach Rose.

You did so well I would like to see one or two more, ok?

Precious,little Rose Ami,

Your parents did such a wonderful job in helping to create such a gorgeous, little girl as yourself. The love that family and friends feel for you will encompass you with many important treasures: honesty, protection, trust, and an abiding, open communication. You don't realize it yet, but your future will be bright, and you will be nurtured by many. Lucky you & lucky us. We love you forever and always.

Jen,

I went kind of ga-ga getting baby clothes for Rose. And they're mostly 0-3 months, which Sahra tells me you need. I had a ball! Now, PLEASE EMAIL ME YOUR ADDRESS SO I CAN ZIP EVERYTHING ALONG. (I especially love the tiny jean jacket with removable sweatshirt hood. Very butch.

Love you honey, hope all are doing well.
