The Intersection

We arrived in Austin on Thursday night and I’ve been pleasantly surprised to find such a progressive, musical, and fun corner of The Lone Star State. I’ve also got a feeling many of our readers have been through there, so let’s see how many locations you can identify from these photos:

I haven’t been to Austin since ’96, and there are a lot of good bar-b-cue joints down there, but I’ll take a wild guess. Is that first photo from the County Line?

If not, I highly recommend the place.

The BBQ place is, I think, the Salt Lick in Driftwood. Excellent BBQ.

Haven’t been to Austin for almost 15 years, but I agree it’s got to be the Salt Lick.

dj’s got it. Those rattlesnake boots were at Allen’s.

The BBQ is indeed from the Salt Lick. Good job by Andrew and jem.

The Ham poster was at the Molotov Lounge and the zebra is over Lucy in Disguise With Diamonds on South Congress street.
