The Egyptian goddess Isis was celebrated as the ideal wife and mother. The blogger known as Dr. Isis has some fancy-sounding degrees and is a physiologist at a major research university working on some terribly impressive stuff. She blogs about balancing her research career with the demands of raising small children, how to succeed as a woman in academia, and anything else she finds interesting. Also, she blogs about shoes. In fact, she blogs a lot about shoes.

...And behold, he raised the motherfucking Jameson on high as Isis bedecked her feet in glory, and the masses were sated. -- The Holy Gospel According to PhysioProf

An Update on the Hottness...

Posted on: November 11, 2008 4:48 PM, by Isis the Scientist

I blog an awful lot about shoes and beautiful clothes. However, I would like it stated for the record that Dr. Isis is not all hot shoes and cupcakes. I am wearing shoes covered in poo, I am wearing someone else's underpants, I'm sweaty and un-made-up, my hair is pulled back in a rubber band, and my scrubs are covered in vaginal secretions that are not my own.

Figure 1: An artist's rendition of the foul-smelling and yuck-covered Dr. Isis, still being totally hot.

But, I am still totally smokin' hot. Why? Because, because even though I am covered in filth and probably smell foul enough to turn even the strongest of stomachs, I have just laid down some of the hottest science you'll ever see (eventually...when it's published). And I assure you, my darling readers, there is nothing hotter than hot science (except, maybe Dr. Isis laying down the hot science).

Not even Naughty Monkeys.

Hmmm...I think that I have found myself in the same situation before...collecting embryos from livestock are we? Or perhaps helping to birth some?

That's totally hot!

Though I'm still not sure how someone else's underpants come into play here....

You know what'd be really hot?
If you'd freakin publish it already! Actually, on second thought, that wouldn't do us much good. Finally, a reason to take a stand against psudeononymous blogging (provided none of the pubmed hits for "Dr. Isis" are actually you).

Um, you are a great physiologist I'm sure, but methinks some remedial anatomy might be in order. Or else this really is some hot science.

You'd want it to be hot science if you end up like that...

I cannot wait to see the search terms that will ultimately pull up this post. Be prepared for some very sick and disturbed individuals.
