Now on ScienceBlogs: "Global Warming is not real because weather patterns have stabilized in the last 10 years!" Why statements like this need a little context.

The Egyptian goddess Isis was celebrated as the ideal wife and mother. The blogger known as Dr. Isis has some fancy-sounding degrees and is a physiologist at a major research university working on some terribly impressive stuff. She blogs about balancing her research career with the demands of raising small children, how to succeed as a woman in academia, and anything else she finds interesting. Also, she blogs about shoes. In fact, she blogs a lot about shoes.

...And behold, he raised the motherfucking Jameson on high as Isis bedecked her feet in glory, and the masses were sated. -- The Holy Gospel According to PhysioProf

Dr. Isis's RSS Feed..

Posted on: November 8, 2008 5:00 PM, by Isis the Scientist

I know.

I know it doesn't work

I know.

I've emailed the overlords at Science Blogs for help, but some of the other bloggers have told me it can take a few days.

In the mean time, I appreciate how many of you are still coming to visit the domestic and laboratory goddess. I adore you folks!

Just so you and your readers aren't too upset, this has happened with virtually every blogger added since the June 2006 expansion. I'm not a techie but I know that everyone else has had to wait for 3-4 days after blog launch.

Therefore, Isis minions, just dial up the main blog the old-fashioned way. It's worth it, ain't it???

Oh, Abel. It is worth it in more ways than you know. Wait until you see what Dr. Isis has to give away to her readers tomorrow.

Ummm... I just read this in my reader. Maybe you DO have an RSS feed now.

Oh! Thanks, Lockwood. If it does work, Dr. Isis might wee a little.

Apparently not all feed readers are created equal. I'll just keep checking back for a while. Hopefully this will get squared away sooner rather than later but thanks for the heads up Abel.

Seriously, Isis, how do you find these pictures? Did you say to yourself, this RSS feed plight makes me want to bite my laptop? And then you looked for a corresponding picture? Or do you have some database of absurd photos? Either way, oh-so-humourous.

CE, if I told you then you could all be Dr. Isises and I have to protect my schtick.

Dr Isis knows how to navigate her stock photography. And online shoe catalogs.

Hello Dr. Isis,
that brilliant FrustratedWoman.jpg, is it copywritten? I should like something similar.
With Regard,
chris meagher.
