There's no science in this post. This post is contains an ass shaking jam that a lovely reader sent me that I would like to share with those of you spending your Friday toiling in the laboratory.
If you click here looking for science-y sounding results after I've warned you, do not get pissy with me about not having a "science blog." Long hours collecting data to get some results so that you can read one paragraph in the NYT about the importance of the findings can suck ass some days and I gotta keep my peoples entertained so you can have said paragraph.
Now, for my loyal little worshipers in their 12th hour of data collection, I present to you the following offering:
Yesterday I received this little bit of goodness:
delivery of one hot, ass shaking jam for doc isis- remember this one?http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j6-tYSyJS_I
[I tried to embed it, little chickens, but I couldn't find an embeddable version. You'll have to click through.]
this came up on my ipod as i was at the cryostat, and i totally stood up and shook it ;) then i thought of your 'ass shaking jams' category on the blog, which made me laugh. the video is hotness, girls who fix cars are hot. oh, and so is big boi.
rock out, isis, you know you want to.
leigh :)
leigh, I do want to and I totally just did.

Toaster obviously needs to increase his crunkness if he wishes to continue to be the musical inspiration for science. Perhaps posting the rock-and-roll "Mad Scientist Personal Ad"* at www.myspace.com/toastersunshine was a mistake and will diminish his street cred.
Toaster is currently working on a vibraphone-and-viola-based hip-hop track. Are vibraphones and violas crunk?

*Shameless self promotion.

That's a good one. I was thinking you were going to post this one. It's been making the rounds on the internets.

I simply must get a new sound card.

i think doing science requires music.
i challenge anyone to sit for hours and hours and hours at a damned cryostat without music and (a) get ANYTHING done (b) avoid totally losing their shit. (caffeine also helps.)
the science blogging isn't always about the results- there are plenty of things to discuss about data collection process too. after all, it's not like we think of ideas and then the results magically appear to answer our questions. this is daily life in science.
thanks for the shout!

Are vibraphones and violas crunk?
Totally!
But you know what's even more crunk?
A theremin.

The NYT link just opened to the regular home page.

Thanx!

Another video that treats women as sex objects. Yes, why not argue against that. mmm...women. Nice asses though.
