The Egyptian goddess Isis was celebrated as the ideal wife and mother. The blogger known as Dr. Isis has some fancy-sounding degrees and is a physiologist at a major research university working on some terribly impressive stuff. She blogs about balancing her research career with the demands of raising small children, how to succeed as a woman in academia, and anything else she finds interesting. Also, she blogs about shoes. In fact, she blogs a lot about shoes.

...And behold, he raised the motherfucking Jameson on high as Isis bedecked her feet in glory, and the masses were sated. -- The Holy Gospel According to PhysioProf

"All the Broken Shit"

Category: Official ScienceBlogs Business
Posted on: July 26, 2009 9:56 PM, by Isis the Scientist

That's the name of the message I sent to the powers that be here at ScienceBlogs.

The point is, I know and I would love for there to be something I could do about it. I'd love my RSS feeds to work, for stuff to align right, and for all the comments to work, but although I am certainly the hottest one up in this piece, I'm not the one who programs the stuff.

So, I appreciate you letting me know, but there is not much I can do about it. If you're seeing stuff that's not right or having trouble with things, shoot this dude an email:

webmaster@scienceblogs.com

I'm sure he'll get back to you. You know, after he's back from lunch.

Wow.

Just leave already. Maybe your ego will have a chance to deflate a few sizes.

Isis,
It's so cool that you actively respond to your readers' messages all the time. Not many bloggers respond as much as you do. It's more interactive, and, it keeps me coming back. I actually get to converse with the laboratory goddess herself.

I'm beginning to think, though, that when I have work to do, I read scienceblogs; likewise, when you have work to do, you read and answer the comments. Time well spent if you ask me!

Perhaps a quasi-test..??

Hopefully your 'webmaster' is inundated by scathing e-mails demanding free access to Isis's comment box..!!

Or maybe this comment too will be swallowed up in comment-h3ll.

We shall see...
