Laelaps
The trouble with having an open mind, of course, is that people will insist on coming along and trying to put things in it. - Terry Pratchett

Great photo, I love zoo photos. I hope you don't take this as spam but I would love it if you would consider some of my work for the photo of the day. You can view some here: http://taniakatherine.webs.com/apps/photos/album?albumid=5014847. It is right up line with the photos posted in this feature, especially recently, and I really think your audience would enjoy it. Either way, keep up the great work--this is one of my favorite blogs out there!

Hi Tania,
Thanks for the link. Wonderful photos, especially of the fossa. Whenever I visit the Bronx Zoo they are always sleeping!
I will have to decline your offer to post your photos here, though. My "Photo of the Day" posts are a personal thing and I only post photos that I have taken myself. If I ever run out of photos to post I will certainly get in touch, and thank you for your interest. Keep up the good work!
