Here in Hawaii we are seeing more of these. It used to be only the drab house gecko hanging around, loudly defending territory and battling cockroaches. I have one who lives under my refrigerator, with regular trips to the space between stove and cabinets, and as far as the back of the couch. There is another on my lanai, taking care of the plants. I like seeing them, even though they are aliens, because it feels a little less like living in a concrete box and a little more like being in the real world.
