Why the Loom?
"...among the joyous, heartless, ever-juvenile eternities, Pip saw the multitudinous, God-omnipresent, coral insects, that out of the firmament of waters, heaved the colossal orbs. He saw God's foot upon the treadle of the loom, and spoke it; and therefore his shipmates called him mad."

Mr Myers is a great marketing tool huh? The guy blogs so often, I don't know how he manages it with his teaching and research.
I own and have read all your books so far Carl. You are one of my favourite science writers and I look forward to reading Microcosm.
*Hope I win a copy*
