Azelaic acid is a pretty simple small molecule:

# InChI: InChI=1/C9H16O4/c10-8(11)6-4-2-1-3-5-7-9(12)13/h1-7H2,(H,10,11)(H,12,13)

It is used topically in dermatology.

another anti-acne chemical.. my friend used it for quite sometime, it is known as Azelex or Skinoren.
