It's unusual because of its diarylacetylene moiety. Like most retinoids, it modulates some aspects of skin turnover and metabolism and finds use in dermatology.

With the introduction of the InChI Key 9http://www.chemspider.com/blog/?p=125) you might want to include the InChI key in your postings and then they will be indexed and searcable by structure

this molecule reminds me of acne.. heheh the common brandname of this stuff is Tazorac.
