Tazarotene (Acne acetylenes)

Category: Drugs

Let's see if I can do better this week.

Tazarotene is a retinoid, or vitamin A analogue:

InChI=1/C21H21NO2S/c1-4-24-20(23)16-7-9-17(22-14-16)8-5-15-6-10-19-18(13-15)21(2,3)11-12-25-19/h6-7,9-10,13-14H,4,11-12H2,1-3H3

It's unusual because of its diarylacetylene moiety. Like most retinoids, it modulates some aspects of skin turnover and metabolism and finds use in dermatology.

With the introduction of the InChI Key 9http://www.chemspider.com/blog/?p=125) you might want to include the InChI key in your postings and then they will be indexed and searcable by structure
