Erythorbic Acid (President Bush have a less-carcinogenic hotdog with me)

Erythorbic acid is a common food additive:

It is a particularly good antioxidant, much like Vitamin C, and can be used to suppress the formation of carcinogenic nitrosamines in hot dogs and other cured meats.
