oh well, i came to N. America, and looked up "ants of canada" and most results were about how to KILL ants, especially carpenter and fire ants. that was so sad!
i also came across this "ant-farm", which KEEPS ants, but they die ultimately!
Everything is a mite farm. Pillows, other insects, whatever. Keeping ants is a very unusual interest. Killing ants, on the other hand, is an idea that has probably occurred to almost every human on earth at some point in their lives. If Google was reflective of reality, killing ants would show an almost infinite number of hits.
Google searches don't often yield the most flattering results. This reminds me of this site with some horrific examples (but hilarious):

Results 1 - 10 of about 1,300,000 for "ant farm".
Then try "mite farm"
Results 1 - 10 of about 2,140 for "mite farm".
That should make you feel better - but it creeps me out.
