Welcome to Neurophilosophy at ScienceBlogs!
I've been working behind the scenes for about a week, trying to get to grips with using Movable Type. Now I've got the hang of my new blogging platform, and have configured the blog the way I want it - although I'll be making minor modifications and adding various bits and pieces - I'm ready to go. Many thanks to all those who helped me out while I was setting up, especially Chris, Jake and Sandra.
If you've come from my old blog, you can expect more of the same. If you're a new reader, that means regular updates on new neuroscience research and emerging technologies, occasional essays about various historical aspects of neuroscience, and anything else that I might find interesting. Above all else, there will be an emphasis on good quality science writing and effective communication of scientific information to both scientists and non-scientists.
I started the old blog in February 2006, and have devoted much time to it since then. I've received approximately 332,000 page views and 1,16o comments, and there are about 2,000 subscribers to 2 RSS feeds.
In the past 18 months I've written 651 posts at the old blog, and rather than importing the archives to this blog, I'm going to repost some of my favourite and most popular items. I'm happy to receive suggestions and criticisms, so feel free to leave comments. But most importantly, enjoy your visit to the blog, and come back soon.
