The Evil Monkey has a Ph.D. in Neuroscience from a southeastern university. After a postdoctoral nightmare of Inquisitorial proportions, he is currently working in a laboratory and teaching at a local community college. He is still not sure why he wrote this paragraph in the third person, and for that reason is beginning to doubt his sanity. How many freakin' people can fit into his head, anyway? No wait, my head. Oh crap.

Scicurious is a graduate student wrestling with a PhD in Physiology and Pharmacology at a southern institution. She is a nerd, a geek, and also a dork, which takes up a lot of her free time. She sees nothing wrong with talking about herself in the third person, and wonders why Evil Monkey is so freaked out about it.

McCain is bitching about supposed sexism from Democrats when this is what is being worn by Indiana delegates at the RNC?

What a bunch of bullshit.

Yeah, some pins worn by several members of the Indiana delegates totally dismiss the charges of sexism and make all Republicans hypocrites. Good to know that partisanship trumps intellectual integrity, Ph.D. in Neuroscience. If people with doctorates can't be rational in presidential elections, what hope do we have?

Well thank you so much for the logical fallacy. Can you point to where I even suggested that all Republicans are hypocrites? Hmmm, lesse.... nope. Not in my post. You must have conjured that shit out of thin air. Much like the notion that some Dems attacking Palin for her crappy policies somehow makes ALL Dems sexist.

McCain really ought to clean up his own party before employing a sweeping generalization on the entire Democratic party. Then again, we're not likely to see that happen, are we? He's had how many years, again, to affect positive change from the inside? Not exactly a stellar track record.

PS-- hard to be a partisan when I consider the Democratic party to be too far to the right of me, by and large. Plus, I'm not exactly a dues paying member of any political party.

I'd be highly surprised if he did, but damned if some of his surrogates won't make it seem that way. Plays out on both sides I imagine.
