Fletcher's version of self-evident truths

Category: Science+culture
Posted on: February 21, 2006 12:43 PM, by Kevin Vranes

This, I hope, will be my one and only ID/evolution post here. (Depending on your perspective, it's already either adequately covered, well-covered or seriously over-covered by the other SB'ers.) Isn't science all about getting past what's "self-evident" to get to the real truth behind it? If we stuck to self-evident, the earth would still be flat and the sun would rotate around it. One of the coolest things about science is the way it takes all our assumptions and smacks 'em upside the head. Intelligently designed, my hairy back!

It's pretty self-evident that KY has an idiot for a Gov!
Un-F-ing_ believeable!

Given his comments in the state of the commonwealth address, I think the letter is probably spot on his feelings. Makes me sad for my birth-state.
