I shoulda majored in something else

Category: Totally random
Posted on: March 6, 2006 6:32 PM, by Kevin Vranes

After grrl's post, I had to take the quiz. Nice study break from the incessant crunching of earthquake property damage numbers I've been doing lately.

My undergrad path was Aeronautical Engineering -> Mechanical Engineering/Materials Science -> Geography -> Geology. Then I did Physical Oceanography in grad school.

But no wonder I'm so confused. I should have been a psych major! Or gone to math. (Yea right...as soon as I took PDE's I knew why I wasn't a math major.) The journalism hit is pretty close...when I was applying to grad school I almost went the journalism route instead and I do see blogging as a kind of microjournalism.

My results:

Psychology -- 100%
Mathematics -- 92%
Journalism -- 83%
Anthropology -- 75%
English -- 67%
Philosophy -- 67%
Engineering -- 58%
Biology -- 33%
Chemistry -- 33%
Linguistics -- 25%
Theater -- 25%
Sociology -- 25%
Art -- 8%
Dance -- 0%

as a former senate staffer, i would imagine that you would have to get a high score on psychology. either that, or you would have to be seeing a psychologist now as you recover from that experience.

and, bummer, dude. you didn't copy the table to your blog! (you have to alter the width of the table to 500 pixels, and then it fits nicely)
