steve_icon_medium.jpgThe Omnibrain is a psychology graduate student at an online university. He hopes that the three weeks and $29.95 that he is spending on his Ph.D. will get him a job at a Tier 1 research university. Do online universities have postdocs? Ok...just kidding, The Omnibrain is a real graduate student at a real school somewhere in the continental United States - or maybe Europe.

Banner Concept Art

Category: ChatterNeuroart
Posted on: February 5, 2007 6:27 AM, by The Omnibrain

My wonderful cousin has sent me the first concept banner image so I thought I'd just throw it up on the blog and get feedback from you guys! So far the plan is to add detail to the brain, change its color, and put the face on the front of the brain. The city will be evened out and stretched for the entire length of the banner and a sun or moon will be added. There might also be a King Kong type theme with a couple planes flying around????

Any thoughts from you guys?!

Why even it out! I like the town's rough look.

ohh.. the buildings are going to be uneven... just the bottom will be evened out a bit and look less like the same city was copied over and over again.

Planes would make the top too busy. I think the design should flow from a less detailed top to a more detailed bottom (that would draw the eye in the direction of the text). It might be cool if they were able to work some fleeing people into the bottom, maybe just light colored silhouettes in front of the buildings.
