Chuch Norris is going to kick and punch the bible back into schools

Category: Culture Wars
Posted on: March 26, 2007 8:24 AM, by The Omnibrain

I think I'm going to be sick...

I am glad I studied the bible in school... although it was in the context of literature (we also read the Koran, etc.) This is a bit different. Chuck Norris is the spokesman for a religious organization with shady goals. It seems that they are saying one thing and doing another. See below for more details.

Martial arts maven Chuck Norris, legend has it, can defeat packs of savage wild animals, hordes of vicious, armed goons, and even onrushing Mack trucks with nothing more than his hands and feet. Now, Norris wants to kick secularism's ass - he wants the Bible back in public schools. But roundhouse kicks or even the "claw of death" are not especially useful for slipping a sectarian Bible course curriculum touting fake history into public schools. Stealthy, social tactics are needed. Will Chuck Norris become a Liar For Jesus ? We don't yet know but Norris has touted the work of the National Council On Bible Curriculum In Public Schools as it sneaks, in a slick wrapper of dubious and flat-out fraudulent takes on American history, its Christian nationalist Bible course curriculum into public schools, cities, and towns across America. Meet the The National Council On Bible Curriculum In Public Schools (NCBCPS), a stealth effort associated with the far right Council On National Policy and led by a woman who has said God has commanded her to bring the Bible back into public education.

Oh man, I just couldn't stop laughing due to that first sentence of the quoted text. If Chuck Norris stands at this position, I wonder where Jack Bauer stands? He also has a cult following gang that would be interested.

He needs his ass beat.

He's a glorified stuntman and a poor actor.

Yeah, this is kind of old, though. I remember when I saw this I was little less than shocked, not because I thought before that Chuck Norris was a super well-educated person, but I don't know, seeing someone so recognizable spewing such crap...

Anyway, I think most of the kung-fu and martial arts people believe in some sort of superstitions, I have many times heard stories of "masters" doing crap with their "ki" and such. Even Bruce Lee wasn't very straightforward with his "power" of the 1-inch punch or something like that.

After reading your comments I wonder just who it is that you support. Yes we need a change in this country and if you will think back, this country started getting into the shape it's in now, after God was taken out of the schools, courts, and even bussiness yards that choose to place the 10 commandents there. If Chuck Norris can help to make this happen again then may God be with him. While you seem to think this is such a laughing matter then I pray for you , cause the Bible is part of everyone's history especially christians. Jesus died for all yet gave us the choice to accept him or reject him and to condemn another for taking a stand, no matter how they seem to sound (with their words) is the unpartable sin and hell will be full of those who are guilty of this.

So many of you discussed your love for vintage clothing in the comments section of my previous posts, which made me smile from ear to ear because I love history. I think it’s important to understand how fashion has evolved and why it has changed over the years. So I am going to go through the decades starting with the 1920s through 1990 and talk about what was popular in the world of fashion. We’re trying something new this week.
