Crossings

A sort of Stroop effect for road signs. First the usual warning for deer crossing, which people often ignore:

There are no rhinoceroses in North Vancouver, at least I don't think so, but you never know. The Pacific Northwest Tree Octopus is found in the area.

This "stroop effect" could be measured: monitor the speed of driving according to congruent and incongruent pannels...

Good idea. It could even pay for itself by setting it up as photo radar and issuing speeding tickets.
