That was fantastic. It would appear that the silverback got pissed at one of the females and bit her on the back of the neck. The other females banded together to chase him down. Way to show a little solidarity sister!

This is common behavior in bonobos, but I haven't seen it before in gorillas. Read my interview with primatologist Frances White for more info.
