The Empty Life, a 1963 film from the Mental Hygiene Division of the Oklahoma State Departmeny of Health. "This man's life has lost its zest. For him, the kick has gone out of living..." Learn why people drink to excess, hang out with ten-dollar-tramps, race cops and shoot craps: the menace of boredom.
Spoiler:
Substitute the word depression for boredom and the stigma will seem modern; the eyeglass frames are back in style.
The film ends by advising that if you have enough different things to do, it will prevent boredom/depression. It's also a good idea to take your frustrations out on wood (and to not let your wife who has headaches every night at bedtime tell you not to work in your woodshop). Sounds a lot like occupational and art therapy.
Public domain film, share it freely.
