Update those blogrolls for Creek Running North, which is now located at http://faultline.org/. While you're fixing that one, remember to also set Pharyngula's new address to http://scienceblogs.com/pharyngula/—it's been over a month and I see via Technorati that the old address has about ten times as many links as the new one!

I use Bloglines to track the blogs I like to read. Finally last week I complained to them that their blog search engine continued to identify Pharyngula only in terms of its old URL. Someone nicely fixed the link in my personal list of feeds, which pleases me greatly, but I noticed this weekend that the search function still lists numerous hits on pharyngula.org and none yet to scienceblogs.com/pharyngula.
Perhaps old subscribers to the Pharyngula feed via Bloglines (261 people) are now getting valid updates from from the current Pharyngula site, but I can attest only to my own situation. (Since I have not undergone any URL change of my own, all users of Bloglines who subscribe to my blog are undisturbed. All 6 of them!)

i don't blog using any of the major services, and my links are direct HTML refereces to trackbacks and things. i just attempted to update the text with the new link, but a couple of tests show the links are now broken. for instance,
http://scienceblogs.com/pharyngula/index/trackback/3591/
or
http://scienceblogs.com/pharyngula/index/weblog/comments/defeated_by_the_squid/P25/#comments
suggestions?

Links to specific articles on the old site are not a problem at all, and can be kept as is. The old site is being retained as an archive only.
What people should try to fix are those generic links to "Pharyngula" in their blogrolls -- many still point to the old site, so it's just a little indirect.
Bloglines and other syndication services should be OK. I've added an automatic redirect to the htaccess file on the old site that should remap all access to the atom/xml files to the new ones here, and if the service is sensible it should get the page url directly from that feed.

Ha! My own link to Pharyngula was to the old site. Fixed now.

Are you happy now? ;-) I fixed Grrlscientist's link, too. My procrastination this term knows no bounds, apparently. Thanks for the reminder.
