Random Quote

The world becomes full of organisms that have what it takes to become ancestors. That, in a sentence, is Darwinism.

Each generation is a filter, a sieve; good genes tend to fall through the sieve into the next generation; bad genes tend to end up in bodies that die young or without reproducing.

Richard Dawkins

I've gotten a few links to interesting CafePress merchandise today. You can now get the Immortal Pinkoski's slogan, If you doubt this is possible, how is it there are PYGMIES + DWARFS?, on a t-shirt. Mona tells me that I can also get a fine selection of cephalopodous clothing, or samples of other interesting art—take a look at Platypus Rex.

It's a good thing I have a wife who scowls at me when I put on something outrageous, 'cause otherwise I'd be walking around with the weirdest outfits.

I love the Pygmies + Dwarfs bit, but whoever did the lettering really did a terrible job. It's almost illegible.

I notice that the cute critter at the bottom of the page is actually a pentapus. I wonder if that was intentional?

Oh, man, Pharyngula sold out! It used to be all about the squids, and now it's all about the Benjamins! Dude!

No, no...those are all completely independent creations. I don't get a penny from any of them.

Oh, come on.. Sell out already. I'm sure plenty of people would buy a t-shirt with your picture on it.

Hobbits, not pygmies and dwarves is the subject ... if you happen to be in the neighborhood of Eugene Oregon this Wednesday. Peter Brown is speaking about the 'hobbit'. Interesting that it is presented by a Humanities group, not a Science group.
