I'm going to have to see if my TV still works, because the Discovery Channel is broadcasting giant squid videos on Saturday and Sunday, August 5 and 6.

I'll bet it really rankles the Discovery Channel and Discover Magazine that the leading stink tank for Intelligent Design chose the name they did.

It just looks to me like they'll be broadcasting those photos from last year. Although they probably have access to a lot more than was in the paper.

That's what I figured too. This is probably from the Japanese expedition where the snagged the giant squid on the longline.
