Here are a few miscellaneous cephalopod-related things people have sent me lately.
- Here's a squid kokigami template, and assembly instructions. I confess: I was wondering what the heck it was for, until I read further. Oh. My.
- Good hygiene and kokigami go well together.
- A town in Japan is building a giant robotic squid. Hmmm…I should combine this with kokigami; "hello, dear, have I got a surprise for you!"
- The text is about mosquitos, but it's illustrated with a nice drawing of an octopod.
- The car of the future has tentacles.

The Japanese, of all people, should know that building giant robots never turns out well. First, some evil-doers sieze control of it for their own purposes (say, the Beagle Boys trying to crack the Money Bin). Then the robots develops intelligence and turns on its masters. I think we should just say no to giant robots.

"Your tentacles dance most beautifully but they have many suckers and I wonder what they are for?"
Oh. My. Indeed!

I can provide a pile of adorable squid and octopus paper model links suitable even for children.
I can also provide a direct link to the JAMSTEC papercraft page. Anyone know what species the octopus is?

For a boost to your ego, first display the sizing chart on the screen of your PDA or cell phone.
