Allegations by U.S. presidential candidate Pat Robertson that the Soviet Union has placed nuclear missiles in Cuba are 'wild fantasy,' the official Soviet news agency Tass said yesterday. 'Of course it is up to the Americans themselves to decide who will be the next occupant of the White House. But in this case we are dealing with problems concerning international security, concerning all,' Tass said. 'That is why Robertson's wild fantasy gives rise to a legitimate question: How is it that such an irresponsible politician could at all become a candidate for the presidency in such a country as the United States?'

Tangled Bank problems?

Category: Tangled Bank
Posted on: October 25, 2006 2:42 PM, by PZ Myers

Ummm, anyone know anything about this week's host for the Tangled Bank? It's supposed to be at http://metaanalyses.blogspot.com/, but that site immediately bumps me into a redirect to something else.

I also haven't heard back from the host—if anyone knows him (or if you are him), drop me a line and let me know what's up. If there's a problem, I'll recruit someone to fill in the gap on short notice.

Blogspot has been having pretty screwy problems all day long. Probably something related to that.

Looks like a domain or DNS hijacking.

The blog had been silent for quite a while.

In the source code for the blog I can see that someone edited the template to add a function "ygorvuvgko" that is forwarding to that search site, but it is doing it in a sneaky way - by using ASCII character code numbers (60!115!99!114!105!112!116!62!.... etc.) that translate into the command.

So either this site was hijacked or the blogger has sold his soul to a search site :-). I'll send a report in to Blogger but I suspect you'll need an alterna-host for Tangled Bank.

Noticed that too... If you can't fill the gap in between, I wouldn't mind doing an extra long one next time (it's my turn November 8th), so basically taking links from four weeks instead of two.
