I just got this email, addressed to "Dear Blog Author". This must be the internet equivalent of evangelical door-knocking.
Invitation to Join Christian Bloggers
A small group of us have started a new site called Christian Bloggers. Our prayer and intent is to bring Christians closer together, and make a positive contribution to the Internet community. While many of us have different "theologies", we all share one true saviour.Would you be interested in joining Christian Bloggers? Please take a few minutes to have a look at what we are trying to do, and if you are interested, there is a sign up page to get the ball rolling. We would greatly appreciate your support in this endeavour.

Wow, did they ever pick on the wrong guy.
Although, I don't know…should I take them up on their offer? They don't ask me to sign any loyalty oaths to Jesus, and all they do is ask for my denomination ("none"). My presence certainly would help bring them all together, I would think.

I got one too. Which is amusing since I call them Xtians, and just got finished jumping ass for their reaction to the Imams praying. (What right do they to pray like that in my country -- they should go back to wherever they came from. Phoenix, I guess)

Go for it PZ. I used too make a point of going to all the Bible studies I got invited to (usually via flyers on my door). It was great eye-popping fun, and it is a good way to discourage these annoying and indiscriminate invitations.

Yeah, I got the same invitation. They think Halfway There is a Christian blog, for some reason. Well, I have addressed Christian topics, all right, so I suppose the mail was sent on the basis of some mindless Google search of the blogosphere.
Naturally I blame God for this invitation.

PZ, are you actually suggesting that Christians actually do some reseach every now and then??
I mean let's get serious, if they can't even bother to read basic textbooks, or google evolution, how can you possibly expect them to do something as complicated as read your blog and infer your "religious" proclivities?
