With her new book Treason, Ann Coulter proves that a parent having a lesbian daughter is something to celebrate in lieu of having a daughter in the skeletal body of a blond Christian slut with a football lodged in her larynx who can't decide whether she is the incarnation of Joe McCarthy or Torquemada.

Reason #6 to vote for Pharyngula

Category: HumorWeblogs
Posted on: December 11, 2006 9:00 AM, by PZ Myers

The 2006 Weblog Awards

We're in good shape. Pharyngula is slowly pulling ahead of Bad Astronomy, and I think Phil has just conceded by urging his readers to vote for me. He is admitting that a vote for him is a vote against the eventual squid domination of the Earth, so naturally no one in their right mind is going to vote for him anymore. He also includes a picture of the cutest little kitten as a token of his surrender.

Vote for Pharyngula (and remember, you can vote every day!). Unless you think kittens don't deserve tentacles.

P.S. I have to give my vote to Majikthise for Best Individual Blog.

Sorry, no vote from me until you produce a 'vote for me, or I shoot this squid' picture!

That's the best one-liner I've heard all month. I've gotta find space on my door for that kitten...

And for all you doubters out there that think the squid-kitten can't happen, how are there PYGMIES + DWARFS?!?!!?

My only hope is that the squid-kitten will eat me first.

PZ, when you win, will we be paid in kitten-squids for hitting that vote button daily?

I saw that picture and all I could think was, It's squitten time!

I have access all week to two computer labs, 30 computers total, each computer with its own IP address. What would I get for voting en masse for the next few days?

Wonders if PZ and the creationists might be more agreeable if the "designer" in ID were to be professed as Cthulhu. :)

While I prefer cats as they are, they would probably like to get that taste of seafood. Phil's uninking acts haven't worked yet.

It is really, really hard to take these seriously when none of Penny Arcade and xkcd and Megatokyo are in the comics category... at all.

It's all very well asking people to "think of the kittens" but what about those Queensland lungfish?! This is the place for organising campaigns to save cute biological things. The Bad Astronomy blog should probably be exhorting people to save stars from violent deaths, or poor ickle asteroids from being destroyed by smacking into planets such as Earth which have foolishly been left in their way.

I've had a second email reply from a Senator now. This one was definitely not just a form letter (though it looks from the headers as though several people might have been involved in composing a reply).

If there are people that read xkcd and take internet polls seriously, I am wondering what they get out of xkcd.

I am on to you and your EVIL ways. I have extorted the powers of Skepticality and Slacker Astronomy to thwart your plans for global domination you, you, squid you. Phill shall make a come back! Well at least if the Slackers get to voting.

Looks like you're winning, how can I help?

Hey I know how to support a deca-limbed creature from the depths when I see him winning.

PS If you do loose you are so going to be fried and dipped in marinara sauce. :-)

For your info, squid kittens = squittens. (Not to be confused with squittens.)
