'Theocracy' has always been the synonym for a bleak and narrow, if not a fierce and blood-stained tyranny.

Awww, that stings

Category: Weblogs

The competition doesn't like us. Especially me.

It might sting more if the complainer wasn't a fan of Steven Milloy and hadn't dissed the delightful Britney Spears—that automatically makes him a fundamentalist asshat.

Well, he was right about one thing: Pharyngula is HOT! (Sorry, just having a little fangirl moment here.)

OK, once this thing gets out of beta (if it does)...

Shall we start a pool on how long it takes, on average, to get banned just for being reasonable?

Did you notice on the FAQ page, they claim they will have "world class scientists" writing and discussing issues, but apparently anybody is allowed to join and write anything about science that they want.

"10, 9, 7, 8 ... I hope he dosn't work for NASA."

Hilarious.

I'd love to see some of his actual arguments instead of this bitter attack on scienceblogs. It seems like he's calling scientists close-minded and hoping that just makes his point.

Sorry, I haven't been a fan of Britney Spears since her stunningly intelligent comment about how "we should just trust our president in every decision that he makes and we should just support that, you know, and be faithful in what happens." That and her excuse that her first marriage was a "joke that went too far." Not a big fan.

asshat == mini skirt? Leading us back to Britney Spears!

I've always wondered what that term meant (:

That was too funny - I laughed so much that I almost made an asshat in my pants.

Britney's lack of musical talent, insipid lyrics, tendency to model a bubbleheaded and superficial concept of "femininity", and letting her kid sit in her lap while she drove are the items on my "unforgivable" list. O.o

Britney Spears delightful? You surprise me, PZ. I wouldn't have thought you'd have any time for someone whose name is an anagram of presbyterians.
