If a person can join the salvation army corps and still be respected by his fellow-beings, he ought to be at liberty to enlist in the ranks of reason and common sense and not forfeit respect.

Cephalart

Category: ArtCephalopods
Posted on: March 9, 2007 3:30 PM, by PZ Myers

You're all wondering where the Friday Cephalopod might be…it's delayed. I'm spending my day in seclusion in my secret lair, hammering out some work that's already way overdue, and I don't have access to a scanner or my books or any technology beyond the necessities for writing. I will put it up later.

For now, you'll have to make do with some cephalart.

Hmmm. The 5th image down looks suspiciously like the woo apparatus from Orac's Friday Woo post.

Hey, cool, Erika Moen. I see her at comic book conventions all the time here in Portland.

After seeing what a cephalopod can do to a shark, I think I would be hesitant to become amorously involved with one. Other humans are risky enough as it is.

Um, I'm referring to the third item above, not to PZ...

I think this is a nautilus.

It's a floor lamp in Chicago's Shedd Aquarium. The original decorations have an excellent Captain Nemo vibe.

Just stumbled onto this blog. I think I'm in love...

And a squid whisk? No kitchen is complete without one.

For some reason, I can't say the word 'cephalart' out loud in front of my kids. It seems to provoke giggling and all manner of rude noises.

And, upon occasion, odors.
