I never cared much for this LOLcats craze, but LOLthulhu almost won me over…and now, at last, we have a truly appropriate subject for stupid captions on random pictures.
Oh I ♥ LOLcats. When I first discovered them it was like being seven years old again: I had such a giggling fit I could hardly breathe. They are totally, utterly puerile. And yet it is because they puncture the pomposity or seriousness of an image so effectively that they are such an excellent tool for rationalism. Maybe we should be posting them on billboards and hoardings.
I wonder - are there any non-Christian LOLtheists? For instance, "I'S IN UR MAKKAH, ROCKING TEH KA'ABA"?
I admit to a bizarre fascination for lolcats. I even have the grammar pretty well down. (Yes, there are rules that have emerged.) When I introduced my 9 year old to them he spat ice cream all down his shirt, he was laughing so hard.
The loltheists have good concept, but they aren't so great yet. Need more entries to up the ante. I am seriously thinking about printing out the platypus to put on my wall, though.

I loved LOLcats since I first found out about it. But that's probably because I'm a cat person. It's low humor, but it's fun and it makes that ridiculous geek speak to good use.
