Category: Weblogs
Posted on: January 17, 2008 11:14 PM, by PZ Myers

One of our regulars here is Hank Fox, and some of you may have noticed his website has been rather static lately. Check again! He's back at it, and in case you're looking for a professional proofreader and editor, he's offering his services online.

You post a link to his site @ 11:14pm and about 20 minutes later (your are central time, right?) his site is dead. I guess you've got some readers :-)

I felt a great disturbance in the force, as if an entire server had been melted down.

At 2:35 a.m., I'm back up.

I'm new at the hosting end of the business, and I didn't think about upping the bandwidth of the site.

It shouldn't happen again.

Yippee! I likes me some Hank. Now if we could just get Carl Buell to post more often, the world would be a sunnier place, geese and foxes would live together in harmony, and there would always be a plentiful supply of cocoanuts for the T. Rexes. (Cause T. Rexes loves them some Marx Brothers!)

I was a bit taken aback by his use of "over-formal" instead of the correct form, "overly formal," but overall, he seems to have a better grasp of the English language than 99.9 percent of the people writing online (or anywhere else) these days.

@ #7:

Carl Buell has a Flickr account with a bit more of his work on it.

If you please, sir, I would like some more.
