There is no requirement that Molly winner’s names must begin with “J”

It's May, which means I have to tally up all the votes you made in April for the Molly-worthy commenters in March. We have two winners this month, the alliterative duo of Janine and Josh. Everyone say "OM!"

Now you face the onerous task of thinking back over the last month and nominating an exceptional commenter for the month of April. Leave a comment here with the name of your favorite.

So far, strange gods before me

CONGRATULATIONS JANINE AND JOSH!

Well deserved, especially Janine for her caustic and blatant reality.

Of course,

'Tis Himself

Everyone say "OM!"

I can't resist,

Om nom nom nom...

Congrats to both of them. Since there is no Josh to vote for any more, my vote this month is for Clinteas.

Personally, I nominate SamB. For truly, he is awesome in more ways than simply being a commenter.

Congratulations to Janine and Josh. Keep those tunes coming folks.

This month I'll nominate Kel for his philosophical insights and 'Tis Himself for that touch of whimsy.

By Nerd of Redhead, OM (not verified) on 04 May 2009 #permalink

Congrats Janine and Josh; well earned, both of you.

I'm cogitating on my Molly noms, but I know already that Brownian, OM, should receive Tentacle Clusters for his tenacious response to FMinusCoder, the best "mirror act" since Lucille Ball and Harpo Marx (as usual, I haven't been able to preview that video from my work computer; hopefully it's what I remember).

And finally...

Bill Dauphin

That should just about do it. :)

OM mani padme hum.

I will simply recycle my unused votes from last month, as they are still worthy:
Bill Dauphin
Ken Cope

(I might have voted for 'Tis Himself, but anybody who disses the Velvet Underground in favor of John Cougar Mellencamp deserves only amused scorn.)

Hooray! And the "Studmuffin/muffinettes of the OM" calendar comes out when? ;)

Thank you. I must add, I get a lot more from the people at this blog then I actually add to the blog.

It is funny to see my name connected to Josh, it is almost as if we are connected. But it is easy to tell us apart; Josh is a geologist with a great talent for explanation. I am a smart ass who connects to lots of music videos. I think the distinction becomes very clear.

An other vote and so many people whom I look forward to reading. Yet again, I feel the need to point out the a given vote does not reflect on all of the others that are not named. This is for Ken Cope.

If it's possible to have more than one award then Satra deserves a monopoly.

If not, then strange gods before me gets my vote.

Alex (@36):

I have exactly the same problem, which is why I've deferred my nominations 'til I can do some review. Every month, I promise my self that I'll keep notes this month... but somehow, I never do. If I were that organized, I'd be able to keep my own blog going....

You mean 'Tis H. doesn't sport an OM already?
Ach, the injustice!
And there ought to be a special award for people you can't help wanting to nominate even though they're already ordained. Call it the Golden Sastra.

Congratulations, Janine and Josh! Thanks to Janine, too, for several enjoyable exchanges of links to eclectic songs.

Congratulations to Janine and Josh — well deserved.
I support the call for Tentacles, Bar, and/or Oak Leaves and Cluster for Pharyngulord Sastra.
Once again, I haven't been spending enough time around here lately to know who should get my vote for April. I can't say I disagree with any of the nominations above, they all seem deserving, but Bill Dauphin is long overdue.

Jooray for Janine, Josh* and their JOMs!

I'm completely sure I've never jumped on a bandwagon before, so please forgive me this one lapse as I cast my vOMtes (like votes but can only be cast by OMs and they count for 1.471 ±2) for Kel and Ken Cope. Also, I cast provisional votes for 'Tis Himself and Bill Dauphin, provided they can each find alliterative co-nominees.

Honourable mentions go to Strange Gods Before Me and Nothing's Sacred (the latter whom I enjoy all the more as I think we disagree on a few key things).

Call it the Golden Sastra.

Okay, new rule: please, for the love of the FSM, please try to avoid writing things that are going to break Brownian's little Beavis & Butthead brain. For the next twenty minutes, the eleven distinct personalities playing knuckles and hopscotch in the playground of my head are going to wage war over whether or not I should connect the urolagnia reference or not. It is only out of my immense respect and admiration for Sastra that I likely will not.

*Note for lurking Poor White Men such as the one grolby neatly neutered in the Daughters Need Letters thread: Janine's name precedes Josh's due to alphabetic collation, not liberal hysteria. Okay, maybe a little liberal hysteria. Make Love Not War! Eat the Rich! Don't Trust Whitey!

For the Molly Winners, more OMs, thanks for the noms, and here's a nom for Carlie whom I can't believe isn't already beclustered with honorific tentacles (here's hoping we both get through finals this month, too).
