To doubt has more of faith … than that blank negation of all such thoughts and feelings which is the lot of the herd of church-and-meeting trotters.

Makes me think of an executioner's hood, though I guess I've only seen them in cartoons.

Alternatively, the Cardinals of "No-one expects the Spanish Inquisition" fame.

That's cooooool. Kind of looks like a UFO.

I guess no one else is up at 3:15 AZ time--that's what I get for taking a double load of summer engineering classes! (I'm taking a homework break)

Bring out the grimp!

The grimp's sleeping.

Well, I guess you're gonna have to go wake 'im up, now, won't you?

"Well, bring out the Grimp."
"The Grimp's sleeping."
"Well, I guess you just gonna have to go wake him up, now, won't you?"

Wow! A hat with eyes! I want one!

That reminds me of that head warmer that Kat made for you - except that the animal is the wrong color (and of course that orifice for respiration is where you put your eyes, so it's all messed up). What a strange creature - I would never have imagined such a thing.

Hmm, must go for more obscure pop culture reference....

I've got a head with wings
I got a head with wings
I got...a head with wings
And i can see so far away, I can see so clear
You would not believe the view up here
I got a head with wings, a head with wings

Isn't the dumbo octopus in this genus?

#12

It would make a good alternative to a burka, I suppose.

Yippee! It's Friday! (I'm never sure until I see the cephalopod, and lately PZ hasn't been posting it until the afternoon.)

Oooh! I've got one! I've got one!

You're a mean one, Mr. Grimp
You really are a heel.
You're as cuddly as a cactus,
You're as charming as an eel.
Mr. Grimp.

etc.

'Course, eels really are sorta charming, so that doesn't work so well. I've known cuddly cacti, too. But whatever.

I can see The Grimp taking the place of the pie pan on a string in Plan 9 From Outer Space.
