We're all still recovering from Skepticon

Category: Skepticism
Posted on: November 25, 2009 7:36 AM, by PZ Myers

Don't miss it next year: Rebecca Watson reviews Skepticon II, both the talks and the social scene.

And if that's not enough, Carl Sagan's Dance Party recorded a podcast with several of us while we were there.

People are asking if the talks at Skepticon were recorded. Yes!

The whole two days are being edited and uploaded to youtube right now. Have patience, it will take a little while.

Are there any similar (but not nearly as good, I'm sure) events planned for the Baltimore/DC area?

Is there a secret master list somewhere? Or are the Rifts so Deep that we never share that kind of information?

Great stuff.. I look forward to the next one.
I wish all the talks were videoed and made available online... It doesn't cost anything to put them on youtube or they could be ad-supported or I'd be willing to pay a SMALL fee.

Oh man, I can't wait to get this in mp3 format for my long commute! Keep us posted, I'll gladly pay for the privilege of listening to these talks.

Oooo can't wait! Haha, but watching the parade of speakers and debaters reminds me of your post about white men dominating the atheist sphere at the mo...

Hey, that video leads me to believe that atheists are hip, metal-music-loving punk rockers of various ages! I've been misled this entire time to think they were all graying old white dudes.

Ah, Thanks PZ!
I look forward to seeing all the videos :)

Anyone know how these videos are licensed? eg. Can I legally post them (or extracts from them) on my blog or remix them in to my own videos?

@anonymous bloger, ask Rob (videographer) about remixing his videos. His youtube channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/HamboneProductions

@Chuck Also events will be available on MP3, soon. I am not sure where Rob will be posting those yet.
