Nice bit of light-capture there, too.
Thanks!

Rather...radiant.
It's quite distinguishable from cephalopods because, instead of bearded biologists, it attracts insects.

Wow, it must be the female version of a sarlacc.

Sorry, taking the html for a spin. Still an L-plater.

Actually, no, it's in cahoots with the cephalopods. It distracts the biologists, making the sneak attack / ambush easier. What it gets out of the arrangement is unknown—no-one's lived long enough to tell.
Oh, and the beard hasn't worked as camouflage for years. Biologists need to evolve a new trick to keep from being eaten. (I wonder if poopyhead's new implanted sooper seecret device is an attempt to artificially compensate for failing to evolve a new trick?)

It's such a pretty weed though. (I deny responsibility for clogging up some waterways by planting some of these or its kin.)

I think it looks sorta anime-ish.
Been looking for a potted Stargazer lily myself. None of the nurseries around here seem to have them.

Uh, he wrote "...tentacles and a mouth…". Could you imagine a more explicit description of the ultimate sex organ?

Miles: Wrap a Bible and a Koran in an American flag and light it with the Torah. Toast a few blessed crackers on the fire and eat those. That should have all bases covered.

@ SQB
You've got an imbalance there. The first thing you'll hear about is that atheists favour the other religions over Christianity. Probably don't do the crackers...
I don't think they'd taste nice, anyway.
Better to add a copy of the Origin Of Species. That will throw them right off. And it makes a nice statement too, I think :)
